#food 🍽 Ayurvedische Kartoffel-Mung-Pfanne mit Fenchel, Mangold und Sultaninen 〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️ Für 2 bis 3 Portionen: 300g Kartoffeln, gewürfelt 100g Mungbohnen (gelb, gespalten) 2 kleine Fenchelknollen, feine Streifen 2 Stauden Mangold, Stangen gewürfelt, Blätter grob gehackt 30g Sultaninen 250ml Gemüsebrühe 1 EL Ghee 1/2 TL Senfkörner 1 TL Kreuzkümmelsamen 1 TL Fenchelsamen 1/2 TL Koriandersamen 1 EL Currypulver 1/2 TL Ingwerpulver Pippali und Salz nach Geschmack 🔪 Ghee in einer Pfanne/Wok erhitzen. Senfkörner darin anrösten, bis sie anfangen zu springen. Die anderen Samen, Curry und Ingwer dazugeben und kurz anrösten. 🔪 Mungbohnen und Kartoffeln dazu, anbraten. 🔪 Fenchel, Sultaninen und die Mangoldstangen dazu und mit Gemüsebrühe ablöschen. Aufkochen und dann auf niedrige Stufe reduzieren. Zugedeckt 20 bis 30 Minuten köcheln lassen. 🔪 Für die letzten 5 Minuten die Mangoldblätter dazugeben und unterrühren, bis er etwas zusammengefallen ist. 🔪 Mit Salz und Pippali abschmecken. Reis- und Dinkelnudeln mit einer einfachen Tomaten-Oliven Sauce mit Artischocken😍 Das gab es bei meinem Freund und mir heute zum Mittagessen! Alles was ihr für die Sauce braucht sind: * 1 Dose Tomaten in Stücke * 1/2 Glas Oliven * 4 eingelegte Artischocken * 1 Zwiebel * 1 Knoblauchzehe * 1 EL Öl * 1 TL italienische Kräuter * 1 Hand frischer Basilikum * Salz, Pfeffer * 1/2 TL Chili Zubereitung: Nudeln nach Packungsanweisung kochen. Knoblauch und Zwiebeln klein schneiden. In dem Öl anbraten. Alle restlichen Zutaten zugeben und für 10 Minuten auf mittlerer Stufe köcheln lassen. Dann die Nudeln unterheben. I've been so spoiled here in Colorado. Mom is the best host and with so many beautiful organic grocery stores, yoga & pilates at my finger tips, fantastic views and weather, I feel so taken care of and peaceful. I did have to vamp up the coconut water, avocado, and cherries to keep my skin and body hydrated. Mom has cherry trees so that was easy. I've been applying coconut oil in my nostrils bc at over 6200ft above sea level here at mom's house, I've definitely felt the dryness. There really is no place like home. The children have unanimously decided that grandma's house will from now on be the summer vacation destination. #ayurveda

A lot of people come to me complaining of low energy, so I thought I'd dedicate this week to sharing some tips and education around the Ayurvedic perspective on energy. Low energy stems from a build up of toxins in the body, and a build up of toxins stems from a poorly functioning digestive fire. This principle is used widely throughout Ayurveda to explain and treat many many disorders. While it seems like a blanket statement, the way in which it applies to each individual can be vastly different. Life should be about simplicity in all areas of our existence. Simple should equate to uncomplicated- in our daily and seasonal routines, our exercise choices, our relationships and our food. We should always aim for this, because there are bound to be unavoidable complications along the way. Food has recently become too stylised and overcomplicated, with many recipes requiring endless ingredients, often ones that are hard to find, and also far too much preparation is called for. We forget that this kind of complication creates unnecessary stress in our minds. Summer is the time to truly embrace simplicity, and the feeling of freedom that this offers. I have successfully grown some gorgeous salad leaves this year, and how lovely they are too. They are simple to grow, requiring minimal effort, and leagues above the shop bought versions. Ayurveda advises that raw food in moderation is tolerated by most constitutions during the hot season. The oily dressing also serves to soften it enough for our digestion to manage. I make my simple lemony dressing with walnut oil, lemon juice, a little dijon mustard, a pinch of jaggery or brown sugar, salt and pepper. A simple marigold flower adds a golden glow to my finished side salad, and is a cute contrast to the green leaves. Simple, delicious and healthy home made food. Don’t complicate, because life is complicated enough.

Okay intestines, I need you to get your shit together. Like, literally. Second round of test results back and I have H Pylori 🤢 happy to have some answers, but need to make some significant changes to my diet. Which, is very “healthy” so that is frustrating. H Pylori is a bacterial infection in your intestines. Most people have this bacteria but never know it because it cause the same symptoms as IBS and most other gastro issues. So, after a round of antibiotics, I will have to be very cautious about feeding the bacteria because it never really goes away. Cheers to day 1 of my @medicalmedium cleanse to empty my gut of toxins. I will then be transitioning to a low FODMAP diet to keep this under control. It will mean giving up some things that I love. But hopefully, letting go of the pain, nausea, vomiting, hair loss from vitamin deficiency, bloating and weight gain will be worth it. My focus will not be on what I can’t have, but what I can. I am a damn fine cook, so you know I will whip some shit up. And I’m hopeful that after the elimination process, I will be able to add back in some of the cuts in moderation. I have had stomach issues my whole life. My Ayurvedic constitution predisposes me to it. But, I have free will and can heal through detachment of eating in relation to my emotions and with true discernment of what makes me feel good physically vs emotionally. The mind/ego lies to us constantly. But the heart/atman is the true self. My focus is reconnecting there and allowing the answers from within to come forth 💚🌿Bless

For many years, he has explored various methods of healing and spiritual practices which have cumulatively shaped his current style of teaching. Что такое саттва? Это состояние спокойного счастья. Знаете, есть бурное счастье, оно обычно на виду, им хвастаются, хотят поделиться. Но более ценное то счастье, которого не видно, которое мирно поселилось в сердце и которое окутывает обладателя волнами благости и умиротворения. Таким счастьем не хвастаются... Оно не зависимо от внешних обстоятельств. Не про него поется в песне "счастье бывает разное", оно одно единственное - внутреннее. Ощущение этого счастья передает состояние саттва. Саттва - это олицетворение чистоты, благости, физического и ментального здоровья. Хотя саттва - это качество сознания, но без подготовки на уровне тела достичь ее невозможно. Главными инструментами воздействия на тело будут образ жизни и питания. Поэтому, если хотите приблизиться к своему внутреннему счастью, успокоиться, не теряться в бурях повседневности, то поменяйте свой рацион на недельку-другую. А именно: ешьте лишь свежеприготовленную еду, которой не более 3-х часов; употребляйте лишь свежие фрукты и овощи, из круп - рис, пшеницу, овес; семена и орехи, слегка поджаренные; молоко, желательно без пастеризации; также топленое масло и кунжутное с кокосовым; мед и сахар-сырец из сладостей; имбирь, корица, кардамон, фенхель, кориандр; вода и травяной чай (мята, шалфей, окопник); ешьте 2 раза в день; еда должна быть приготовлена осознано и с любовью. Эта диета также очень подходит тем, кто посвящает много времени умственной работе, кто хочет восстановиться после болезни или стрессового периода в жизни. Будьте осторожны, эта диета повышает способность к состраданию и сочувствию.
