I was so happy to receive my exhibitors pack from @sussexartfairs containing posters, flyers and PV invites for the upcoming fair at Brighton Racecourse, where I'm so excited to be showing! It was a good job the lovely tickets with an image of my work on the front, for the PV arrived when they did because they highlighted to me a HUGE great BIG glaring mistake I had made, and I cringe as I write this but I had filled out my exhibitors form with my married name: GOULD, while I exhibit all my art under my maiden name LOWE. 😬😬
I was utterly mortified when I realized what had happened in my rush to book my stand! What a plonker!! The very lovely people at Sussex Art Fairs were absolutely wonderful about it though and thank goodness my name is now correct!
I guess you live and learn! (And there was I thinking that I'd managed to pull off an air of professionalism 😳😂)
So aside from that blip, I'm loving the process of making new work for this fair. It's coming around really fast now and I still have so much to do! My studio is in total chaos, there are canvases and boards stacking up, used palettes on all surfaces and I can no longer see my studio floor! Somehow though, it will all come together, it always does!
The pack also contained a small canvas and tube of acrylic paint supplied by @cassart1984 , and along with other exhibitors, I'm making a small mixed media artwork as a donation for @sussexwildlifetrust , who will be selling these small artworks at the fair to raise money for this important charity! A great chance to own an original piece of art at a really affordable price!
I'd love to see you over the weekend of 11th/12th/13th October, put the date in your diary!
