Update on my 15 Gallon.
This tank.... Oooh this tank has been stressing me out just a little bit each week since January. Why? Because it's been invaded by cyanobacteria! And. It. Won't. Go. Away! I've been doing water changes 3 times a week for over a month, just to get rid of the BGA that inevitably keeps coming back with a vengeance.
I've done my research and before I resort to H202 or antibiotics, I've decided to do a 3 day blackout. I know that the black out won't solve the problem, it's only a temporary solution. I do want to go through with it though so I can get a head start on trying to figure out the root cause.
Tech wise, this tank is off balance. I have 30 watts from 2 15 watt LED's, I'll try going down to 20 watts total. My filter has been on low flow for the longest time, I've increased it significantly and I quite like the way it makes my Valiseneria sway.
Fish wise, I've got 13 neon Tetras left from my original 15. I've moved my Japanese guppies to my guppy tank. And I've moved my Siamese Flying foxes to my 15 gallon long tank.
I hope all goes well with my blackout so I can start enjoying this tank again.
