Fully living in my body, being fully embodied without imbalanced dissociation has been a long journey. In my early days while working with one of my mentors, Jeanie Underwood, she would help me feel my not feeling. She'd lovingly say, "you have no feet." It was true - I was barely aware of my lower body at all (how about you?). I had subconsciously cut off energy from moving there and it took 5 years of intense heart rhythm meditation practice before I even touched the root of my being. ..once I did.. my abandonment issues were no longer a burden to me and I gained a personal power I had never known. In order to start accessing my root center while it was still numb to me, I found a kinship with the ancientness of LIFE, and therefore, the ancientness of my own being. How old is the earth? How ancient is the rose? How many eons have we been evolving? How much older still is life itself? By digging in and digging deep into my own body, my own being for this ancient feeling, I was able to start to reopen my root.
In my Root Healing Meditation Workshop on Saturday, we will do some digging, and we will do a specific heart rhythm meditation practice that is meant to help you feel yourself in relationship to time.
I hope you can come.
