I don’t always get sick but when I do I can rely on natural remedies and essential oils to bring me through a quick recovery.
I woke up yesterday feeling crummy and having a huge lag in energy.
The right side of the roof of my mouth was tender and swollen which resulted in my right nostril being nearly completely blocked with minimal drainage.
Being able to only breathe through one nostril is not so fun.
I blame rapid temperature change. 70 and sunny then 40 with snow and sleet all in the same week. Get yourself together, Virginia.
Here’s my protocol as I’m still recovering but feeling MUCH better.
1. Breathe respiratory drops. These lozenges are life when I was basically a dreaded mouth breather.
They contain essential oils and none of the junk those menthol drops that are sitting in the back of your medicine cabinet long expired contain.
They cool and open airways.
I took 1 while sitting in a hot bath. Coupled with steam, they allowed me to breathe through both nostrils.
What a luxury!
2. On Guard+ softgels (added immune support) one softgel 3 times a day.
TriEase twice a day to eliminate sneezing and other airborne crap from invading my respiratory system. The Peppermint in these softgels help to dry up drainage.
Copaiba softgels contain highly anti-inflammatory properties to alleviate pressure and congestion and provide added immune support. 2-3 a day and just before bed to assist with sleep.
3. Breathe (Respiratory Support), Frankincense (calming & immune support), and On Guard (immune powerhouse) diffused all day and night to strengthen immune system and improve respiratory functions.
Add a few drops Breathe and Frank in a hot bath for more support.
Apply On Guard diluted on bottoms of feet and down spine to help kick the crap and fight infection.
4. Bonus diffuser blend: Petitgrain (3), Peppermint (3), Siberian Fir (4) and Eucalyptus (2). It’s fresh, invigorating, and helps support a healthy respiratory system during recovery.
