🇬🇧 Sébastien Tremblais, CEO of @berthoud_agricole : “My first SIMA? It was twenty years ago, when I was a young engineer working in the Manitou design office. After spending a few years abroad, I was pleased to come back to SIMA as CEO. For Berthoud, a firm that has been part of the French farm machinery scene for more than 120 years, SIMA has a very special aspect. It is a place for privileged discussions with our clients. It’s the only show where we get the whole company involved because, in addition to our sales and aftersales teams, we also bring across employees from the design office and production. At SIMA, Berthoud has earned a reputation for having its own canteen set up on our stand. Dealers, clients and colleagues from our Exel Industries group have got used to coming and enjoying a relaxing moment on our space. Finally, SIMA is the opportunity for Berthoud to communicate about its innovations. We often take advantage of the exhibition to launch our innovation. In 2013 and 2015, we won respectively gold and silver medals in the SIMA Innovation Awards for our Cleansprayer direct injection system and our “Close transfer” filling system, christened B-Safe. At the 2017 show, we launched our new trailed sprayer VANTAGE, voted Machine of the Year 2017 by the specialist press. As someone who is passionate about Product, this edition is certainly one of my favourite memories of my whole career. In 2019 we are going to launch more new concepts, with the aim of continuing to leave lasting impressions!
