Recently I realized that someone who I thought was my friend, deleted and blocked me on all forms of social media. After this realization, I was trying to think back in my thoughts of what I could’ve done to trigger this, and here’s the thing: it’s not me. You can’t please everyone. She deleted me for reasons beyond my own understanding, and I’m sure I’ll never get an answer as to why our friendship crumbled.
Luckily, she stopped wasting my time by deleting me. Nothing is worse than fake friends. Either you eat at my table, or you eat outside, and that’s just kind of how it is.
I also realize how dumb it sounds to be upset over being deleted online. But understand that I have a big heart, and in today’s day and age, everything revolves around social media. She let me go, and this is my rant about it because it’s frustrating not understanding someone else’s distaste for you.
BUT I’m not friends with everyone, and that’s okay. Better ones will come along, and I won’t have to question myself or second guess myself. There will be a mutual amount of respect and love.
Also appropriate to note: don’t doubt yourself based on the way someone else TRIES to make you feel. It’s not you, it’s them.
