climate strike on 20th september!! who’s going? well, i’m going! we all should be. it’s not just my earth, or yours or anyone’s. it’s OURS so we ALL should try to help and make a difference!! WE are the reason we’re now in this situation where the earth needs help. we MADE it need help because we were so careless with our actions. mostly we still are. buy vegetables in plastic, fruit in plastic, juice and milk in plastic, literally everything in plastic, because most often there is no alternative to plastic. but we can still make it. we can still turn this around and get out of that situation if only it’s us ALL!! EVERY little thing we do to make it better counts. like eating less meat, eating less fish, using less plastic bags or buying our food without the plastic wraparound, if possible, go to demonstrations or simply just tell people about it so they KNOW. we cannot change the world in one second or one day. it takes a lot of time but it IS worth it. so. who’s going? (follow @greenpeace to get a closer look to what really happens on our earth!) #climatechange #globalwarming #environment #climatechangeisreal #openyoureyes #climateemergency #climatejustice #climatecrisis #fossilfree #climatebreakdown #actnow #fortheearth #saveourplanet #actonclimate #savetheplanet #motherearth #fridaysforfuture #schoolstrike4climate #climatestrike #activism #greenpeace #september20th #globalstrike #globalwarming #welovetheearth #lessplastic #vegan #vegetarian #actNOW

Indigenous people of Amazon have vowed to protect their land and preserve it for the next generation. #FlashBack Five weeks ago, the Waorano Tribe won a major legal battle against the miners. Then the miners, corporate powera loggers planned their "Day of Fire" in August. So they decided to let it burn. Because if they can’t exploit it, no one can have it. The fires were intentionally and illegally started by private groups pretty much getting the green light from Bolsanaro. It would be awesome if the media would stop framing this as just some random disaster that happened. There are 900,000 Indigenous peoples living in the Amazon. They are being burned alive with the Amazon rain forst. Bolsonaro, aka Trump of the Tropics as he is called in South America, actively campaigned against protecting the Natives. Nejde se k tomu nevyjádřit 😢. Je mi zle,je mi strašně smutno😭. Kam jsou schopni až zajít? Ničit to, co naši planetu ještě drží nad vodou?! Ničit zdroj kyslíku, díky kterému žijeme? Ničit domov několika druhů zvířat a rostlin? Co bude pak? Ten, kdo stvořil člověka, musí litovat a říkat si ,,co za monstra jsem to stvořil" Tolik rostlin, stromů, tolik nevinných zvířat,kterým vypalují domov a zabíjí členy jejich smečky😢...Nejsem zlá,ani nikomu nic zlého nepřeju,ale....Proboha,každý normální tvor dělá všechno proto, aby země,na které žije vydržela a prospívala co nejdéle a nejlépe a oni ji záměrně a postupně ničí😢,s takovou se dosáhne jen jediného.. konce naši planety a to bude pro tuhle planetu a pro nás možná jediná záchrana🌎 #prayforamazonia #forest #forestsresist #amazonrainforest #lungsoftheearth #actonclimate #world #theamazon #disaster #ourplanet

What is in your news this week? No matter where in the world you are, I bet there is nothing about burning #Amazon - the lungs of our world- the rainforest responsible for 20% of the Earth oxygen with over 3M species living there. I bet there is also nothing about #Siberianfire that lost over 3M hectares of forests, probably nothing about burning Indonesia, Spain and Grand Canaria, Turkey, Iran and many other places around the world. Why tho? Why did Notre Dame receive almost 1 billion in donations after the fire, but the whole world is absolutely ignorant to the fact that we are losing our air, needed to breath and survive. Main media sources are silent about it, billionaires are not rushing to pledge. Why? Because of BEEF! and beef is MONEY! It all started with Brazilian president Bolsonaro who urged farmers to clear more land for cattle and logging by burning land and chopping trees down to make more room... 640M acres have been affected now, is that enough for you? Brazilian and Bolivian government (supported by West) is also currently denying emergency of the current situation and was denying the existence of climate change in the past. Some journalists were even murdered in the past for exposing their crimes in the rainforests. The meat industry is bringing US 38$ billion each year, so no surprise mainstream media is silent about it, as the same industry in sponsoring them. There is a reason why media is silent about those things and it is always greed and money. Extinguishing such massive fires would cost billions, so better to ignore it, run away and hide with money. But what will they do with all that money, when we will have nowhere to live and nothing to breathe? #actforamazonia spread the message! donate to frontline Amazon groups such as @rainforestactionnetwork @rainforestalliance @amazonteamworldwide @WWF @wwf_uk Eliminate or reduce meat consumption Plant trees or donate to tree planting organisations Vote for leaders that care about the environment, not money! Thank you @look.photography.riga for helping me with this photo ❤ #amazonrainforest #prayforamazonia #saveamazon #savetheamazon #actonclimate #climatecrisis

It was a quite surreal image to see toucan on a branch. To see the bird itself was amazing, but in its natural habitat, free, in the air, flying was fairytaleish. Now, few years later I was wondering if these images will be as ordinary in South America's rainforest as they were when I visited... Yes, we are losing it in flames and the reactions of government officials are as if they are characters in some dystopian novel. It's beyond of my comprehension... I'm not sending positive vibes or prayers or anything of that sort... I'm just incredibly sad because that beautiful home is burning down. Irrevocably. * * * #amazon #amazonia #rainforest #nature #wildlife #wildfire #actforamazonia #amazonfire #savetheplanet #climatechange #climateemergency #climate #naturelovers #naturephotography #birds #deforestation #pollution #actonclimate #gogreen #govegan #vegan #earth #renewable #planet #change #brazil #southamerica

Fires in the Amazon, melting ice in the Arctic, record heat in Europe. All are climate change and it’s time to #connectthedots for everyone with two key data points “forecasting” where we’re going: Global Temp and Daily CO2. ‬ ‪ @laclimateleader is calling on @KTLA @CBSLA @NBCLA @ABC7 @FOXLA @KNX1070 @latimes @kcrw @KPCC @TELEMUNDO52 @Univision34LA and every #LosAngeles #media outlet to REPORT these measurements EVERY DAY.‬ ‪As of July, the Global Temp is 0.95°C (1.71°F) above the 20th century average, the highest since records began in 1880. ‬ ‪The CO2 level is 409.59 ppm, a concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, over 100 ppm above where it was for 800,000 years. ‪The earth has a fever and the two measures are our thermometer. We need a familiarity with these measures the same way we have with weather forecasts. ‬ ‪We have a #climateemergency and all of us have a responsibility to take action. Daily communication from local Los Angeles media personalities will not only be a positive action, but an important public service. ‬ ‪ #NOAA #keelingcurve #climatechange #actonclimate #leadonclimate #meteorologist #losangelesmedia #wecansolvethis #climatecommunication

Sound on 🔊 This is what an intact jungle looks like. Sounds like. This is an ocelot in its natural home, one of so many creatures that rely on the Amazon Rainforest, including us. News of the uncontrolled fires has been absolutely devastating. Although the aerial footage at the end of this clip might look like flames, this is a sunrise blazing down through water rising as clouds, footage I captured a few months ago. The beauty of a system in balance keeping our planet alive is not something easily put into words. Now, smoke can be seen from space. The signals continue to come.. #prayforamazonia #weneedmorethanprayers #actonclimate

**SAVE AMAZON**⠀ .⠀ The Amazon region is burning!”⠀ The largest rainforest in the world, vital in the fight against global warming, home to one million indigenous people and millions of plants and animals..⠀ This year it has seen “a record number of fires.. :(⠀ .⠀ The Amazon Rainforest has been burning for three weeks. This is not a natural process. The lungs of the Earth are being engulfed by smoke all the while releasing MORE CO2 into the atmosphere. This forest has been a church for millions of years longer than some church in Paris and the death toll of this fire is already incalculable. Let’s stop feeding in to our anthropocentric values and start advocating for the types of things that benefit the planet we live on.⠀ .⠀ PC: @IamNickRose ⠀ Source: BBC News & @mohsinkazmitakespictures ⠀ .⠀ #amazonrainforest #rainforest #forest #amazon #lives #species #deforestation #climatechange #worldcapture #fire #forestinfire #humanloss #humanity #mediachannel #bbc #unitednation #worldgoverment #nature #terror #SaveTheAmazonia #RainforestAlliance #SaveTheAmazon #PrayForAmazonia #ActOnClimate #ForestsResist #ClimateCrisis

Our hearts are breaking over the fires happening right now in the Amazon and the many other wildfires burning worldwide (Siberia, Alaska , Greenland ) The most devastating are the fires in Amazon rainforest, which produces 20% of the oxygen in the Earth's atmosphere and is vital for the fight against #climatechange Since January, 72,000 MAN MADE fires have blasted the rainforest both legally and illegally. This is a situation where if the Amazon dies - we die. There are things that we can do to help ! Consider donating to one of the many organizations doing amazing work for the rainforests and indigenous peoples living there such as @amazonfrontlines @rainforestactionnetwork @rainforestalliance @amazonwatch @rainforesttrust . . #rainforestalliance #PrayForAmazonia #savetheamazon #actonclimate #forestsresist #climatecrisis #helpamazonia #amazonfire #indigenousrights #globalwarming #deforestation #conservation #savetheplant #savemother #pune #punecity #purplepatchartstudio #💜

This is a controlled burn in the Serengeti, measured fires set with the purpose of stimulating vegetation growth and reintroducing nutrients back into the soil. Parameters are set and the flames are monitored. At the end, new life appears and the cycle continues. • • • • Sadly, this isn’t the case for the fires in the Amazon, an 84% increase year-on-year in the number of fires continue to threaten this incredible home, but we are all interconnected, what happens in the Amazon, affects everyone, everywhere. • • • • Read more about how you can help by following @amazonfrontlines @rainforestalliance @rainforesttrust .
