An important lesson in perspective🙌🏼 Recovering from breast augmentation really threw me out of whack in terms of my identity. Being active, doing things for myself and working out is a BIG part of who I am. Once I was able to hit the gym I was still feeling LOW because all I was thinking about is what I still couldn’t do. . . I stopped myself mid session last week and said to myself “Be grateful that you can be here and doing what you are doing. Be grateful you can train legs and move your body” In that moment I learnt to flip my perspective and instead of looking at the negatives and what I couldn’t do. I needed to be grateful what I could do 😀 . . Wow. What a difference. I now have a new found appreciation for what I am doing and know that with time I will slowly progress to including upper body and feeling confident in my “new chest” 🤷🏼‍♀️ Hope this helps anyone out there feeling low or negative about a situation. Peso muerto 4x15 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥 El peso muerto es uno de los ejercicios qué más me gusta porqué es donde siento mas estímulos en mis femorales (sin desmeritar los otros ejercicios para esta zona). Así como es un buen ejercicio también hay qué tener una buena técnica ya qué si no se tiene puede ocasionar lesiones. Switching out bread for a bed of veggies is my go to when I need to keep my carbs lower. Personally I have my higher carb meals around training and try to keep my other 2 meals under 15g carbs. At the end of the day YOUR diet should be personalised and work for YOU and your needs. 💪🏼

My Journey To Becoming A Fit Dad. Pt. 1 - I’ve always had a desire to be a dad. Which isn’t a surprise because I was always surrounded by great dads when I was a kid. From the experience I had with my dad (Love you, pops) to even the coaches I had that were and still are like fathers to me. Since my experience was so great I always wanted to be able to give that to my kids. - Well, here I am. 28 with 3 kids of my own 2 amazing boys and 1 BEAUTIFUL little girl. Right now I can honestly say I’m the most fit, focused and fulfilled I’ve ever been in my life. But, it hasn’t always been this way. - I’ve always wanted to be a role model for my kids. A role model in my own personal health & fitness, in my marriage, and in my life (I.e. my career, my work ethic, how I interacted with others, my friendships, faith.. etc.). But that was harder than I thought. - I found myself not taking my role as a father and a husband as serious as I needed to. Of course I’ve always loved my family but my mindset and actions didn’t show that all the time. - I feel into the traps that maybe some of you dads have fallen into. Focusing on things like my physical appearance, attention, popularity, success..etc. all things that selfishly had one common denominator; me. I Wasn’t focused on my family, my marriage, my kids. Just me. - I was starting to realize these distractions were adding up. I wanted to get focused, and I would be focused for a short period of time but I’d always give back into the distractions. - Fitness wasn’t hard (only because I was doing it for myself) but I had no vision for my future. // Light // ⠀⠀ “Light” is a series of moving “paintings” dealing with time, space and light. Each part has its own identity and can be seen as a stand alone moment. Yet, I have tried to build in the possibility to see it also as one piece made of different moments. ⠀⠀ It has a cyclical development, working closely with the music. The music is a new interpretation of “The four seasons” by Vivaldi, recomposed by Max Richter.
