A saunter through the streets of Bali - Day 4
As the euphoria for the vacation intensified, the angst of missing out the best whereabouts in Bali would always strike our mind and every time we looked up the internet to check our location, we would find prodigious monuments nearby which wasn’t on our list!
With this tensity, we clinched to add new locales to day 4. Our first stopping place at East of Denpasar city was Legong batik, a popular traditional batik hoard that makes textiles dyed from wax and acrylic colors where we met artisans who engaged themselves with this intricate work.
From fabric, bags, cashmere to magnets, and paintings, you can buy all the authentic Indonesian batik gubbins here.
The glimpse of paintings lured us to Muji art family, a lineage of craftsmen diligent toward delineating their dexterity.
This capacious art house with umpteen paintings at South of Ubud is so encapsulating that each work unravels an anecdote, which eventually made us pick one for ourselves.
Pura Ulun Danu Beratan at Danau Beratan, the sole reason that got us to Bali in the first place was slated next in our schedule. Words get scanty while I try to expound the grandeur of this temple. Located on the shoreline of lake Bratan by the mountains of Bedugul, this reverent shrine devoted to the lake goddess Dewi Danu stands mighty and colossal to human eye.
The unabated ethereal ardour then took us to Taman Ayun, a Balinese garden temple revealing enchanting foliage at Mengwi, Badung.
The last halt for the day was sightseeing at coffee plantation where we got to learn the process that involves in preparing Luwak(Civet) coffee which costs around 215,000 Indonesian rupiah for 50 grams.
Then it was time for a brief hiatus at the hidden swing, a vast area of land in the paddy fields up on the peaks of the hills of Ubud.
As appeasing as it looks, the steep-y slopes give jitters as you go back and forth down the hill. Anticipating yet another breathtaking Bali-day, I went grinning back to my snuggery!
