🍲 Food without names 🍲
Quite often I am asked what am I having for dinner, and more often than not, I don't really know how to answer. Mainly because the food I nourish my body with doesn't really have a name. More often than not, I have a random selection of ingredients in the fridge, they end up in a bowl, and Bon Appetit!
To me, food is an investment in my health. The food I consume is my fuel. Not just in exercise, but mental clarity, energy levels and emotional stability as well!
Majority of the food I eat is not "names". It's nothing fancy. But you know what, I love eating it none the less! It's my energy source, its helping me become the person I want to be, and I want to make this investment in myself!
At the same time, I need to reduce decision fatigue, and often get home quite late. If I didn't have some things half prepared, I would be reaching for foods I know are not going to make me feel good!
So how do I make this possible? Preparation! Vegies are pre chopped, protein sources are ready to go, and its about adding it all in the right quantities for you!
The above pictures took me 10 minutes to prepare! And very little thought went into it as well! Measure out how much I want, add it to the bowl, heat it up and eat! (📷 added to the time of preparation 💁🏼♀️) This meal:
