What this post is not:
A comparison of skim vs full-cream milk for health and longevity.
What this post is:
Accepting that people are going to do shit that isn't optimal for their health/longevity, so introduce ways to minimise damage and reduce calories.
The biggest "risk factor" is not consumption of diary or gluten, it's excess body fat.
If we can reduce total daily calories and subsequently body fat, it's a win, in my opinion.
Regular cap daily: 159 x 7 = 1,113 cals
Regular skim daily: 88 x 7 = 616 cals
When in doubt total weekly calories are a fantastic reference point, as we can see here, over the course of 7 days, by choosing a skim cappucino instead of a regular one, it's possible to reduce total weekly calories by around 500.
Which, in the context of a week, is massive! If you changed nothing else and just implemented 2-3 of these type of calorie swaps daily, it'd be more than enough to encourage a caloric deficit and assist you in losing weight. 🙂
p.s. if you swapped either of them out for a short/long-black you'd be dropping calories even further, however, most people simply much prefer some milk in their coffee. These graphics are not meant to blow your mind with CRAZY calorie comparisons, they're meant to be small enough to actually implement but effective enough to actually impact. #NutritionForCrossfitters
