Fitness isn't about running a long distance or completing an hours training session.
Fitness is the ability to be on the move constantly, completing lots of daily tasks, and then, at the end of the day, when you're all tired out, to go again,to have the energy stores to be able to react to another physically demanding situation.
A lot of people think that they need to "workout" for an hour a day to remain healthy, but this is simply not true. Whilst it is beneficial to workout for an hour or do half hour hiit training, you can't just leave it there, you can't just spend the rest of the day sitting down binging on Netflix, humans are designed to move constantly and if we don't, the negative effects if this make your hour of running or weight lifting pretty much pointless.
Therefore I have decided that on Saturdays, which has become our visiting day, I'll just run between the stops as none are more than 5k away, this will give me around an hours rest time before going again.
