Whenever I see snow on the Coastal Range I recall my 7 year old self begging my dad to take me to the snow surrounding the Santa Clara Valley (Silicon today) where I grew up.
Fortunately we moved closer to the Sierras where I learned to ski💜
Still love the sight of snow kissing our Coastal Mountains though!❄️🙌

Who’s off today? I love 3 day weekends! Over here my kids have off the entire week. Winter break, AKA “ski week”. We are not skiing, so we will be hanging out locally. Starting today by taking the family to see the LEGO movie. I’m looking forward to it. I thought the first one was hilarious! What are your favorite kid movies? #presidentsday #3dayweekends #legomovie2
It’s been “California cold” here for the last few days and I’ve been living my dreams all snuggled up in big sweaters and scarves. Any of my East Coasters wanna share some more of that real winter with us? 🧣❄️⛄️
Mid-stride in my last race. 💪🏻
I didn’t PR during the @hotchocolate15k but I did place top 3 for my division 🥉. I had a PR in mind but it didn’t happen and I’m ok with that. The course was not flat as I had expected but I pushed hard to do my best. My medal just came in the mail and I’m still pretty happy either way. 🙌🏻 …
Sometimes life throws us a curve ball and it’s our job to try to make the best of it. I’ve had a super rough week and have been traveling almost every week this year. I’m off on another trip right now and can’t wait to catch up and share all of the content with you. ✌🏻

Met up with FitBit Local this morning for a Coastal Walk along Encinitas from Moonlight State Beach to Swami's and back. Few miles. Due to the rains our plans were changed when the Parks & Rec Dept closed down the trails on our originally intended location.
Adaptability is a big part of life, cos sometimes things change & you have to go with it. My anxiety is so bad that when things change I usually cancel plans altogether cos in my mind if things didn't pan out they weren't meant to happen. I'm so glad I chose to show up anyway & throw that mindset aside today. We didn't run, we didn't sweat but we were in community & I got to have great conversations about Yoga, Fitness & my upcoming business launch later this year. Was a very welcome time to just spend with friends without the pressure of having to perform and push yourself.
