Fitness for me is a lifestyle, a way of life that not only helps me to see myself well (that is only a feedback that the body gives you in exchange for taking care of it well), it also helps me to always maintain a peace of mind, it is an excellent therapy, it is not only about nourishing is about having a better mental version too.
4 years ago I only liked myself when I looked very ripped (that was my priority), even never seemed enough and self-made me daily to get that physical form that only existed in my head. Usually I was frustrated to see other bodies even more ripped than me, and that was my fault of my dummy mind that put the priority on "how a body looks like"..."If you obsess in getting a very fitness body , undoubtedly your worst enemy will be a very fitness body".
And while I had a vanity approach to fitness, that led me to make extreme caloric deficits (in some cases) and very hard training sessions ...
The truth is I learned a lot from that stage, and I enjoyed (because I managed to see myself as I wanted at that time), but I could not live my whole life in heavy cycles, because the body is not a machine, the body has limits, and we have to respect it, treat it well, take care of it, always have it as a friend and not as an enemy.
Currently my training routine has changed and has gone into another way (I am still interested in strength training) because after all, we are a body and a mind.
MAIN HEALTH COMES FROM THE MIND AND NOT FROM A BODY.
THE BODY SHAPE IS ONLY A PLUS, WE ARE NOTHING WITH ONLY A GOOD BODY
Now, I love myself with 181LBS OR 190LBS, and although I still like to see myself more ripped but I also appreciate myself for many more things than just seeing me ripped because my focus has moved away and what used to be body worship is now cultured to a better way of looking at life, to a better way of seeing the world. I assume that life are stages directed by universal principles such as attraction, expansion, synchron.
