Daily Devotion #27
The bad, unpleasant, hard, destructive situations in you life should never steal your away from your focus on the goodness of God. I'm not saying you shouldn't acknowledge and address them, but this should be done through lense of a focus ever fixed on the one above it all. The one who can turn evil for our good.
"Then the Lord said to Noah, “Enter the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone are righteous before me in this generation." (Genesis 7:1 CSB)
Call to Adventure #21
The need to address big problems is an easy thing to get fixated on, but we often let the smaller ones get overlooked. When in reality they are actually practice for the bigger ones. Identify a small problem/struggle you have (anger in traffic, hitting the snooze button, dishes piling up) and commit to overcoming it. Confess it to God and someone who can help you stay accountable, and fight to fix it. If you stumble a few times, refocus on God and get back up a few times more. You got this, cause God's got you!
