“But I’m too busy to work out”⠀ ⠀ Anyone else ever say that? I used to! In the mornings I would hit the snooze button until I had to get up and get ready for work. Then I would come home from work and find something else I would “need” to do instead. But yet had plenty of time to watch all my tv shows 🤔⠀ ⠀ Then I had a lightbulb 💡 moment. This was just an excuse. I had the time. I just had to prioritize my time. What was more important? My health or watching Grey’s Anatomy? Duh! My health!⠀ ⠀ Fast forward and now I get up in the morning and get it done before work. No excuses now! I feel so much better!!⠀ ⠀ I set my alarm for at least 30 minutes before I need to get ready (normally more so I can get in my miracle morning activities). Drink my energize and then hit play! Done in less than 30 minutes and for the rest of the day I feel good and I am more likely to eat better too since I don’t want to ruin what I worked so hard for earlier in the day. ⠀ ⠀ Seriously, It’s only 20-30 minutes! That’s the length of most tv shows, if not even less. So watch one less episode and you can get it in!⠀ ⠀ If this is an excuse you have said, you are not alone and it is never too late to change your mindset! Listen, we all have crap. You know the stuff that everyone shoves in their "closets" and deals with later. The stuff no one shows to others. The things we intend to "fix" later. Yep, we set out with good intention of dealing with the crap until one day we realize we have a garage full of it ( 🙋 literally). Or maybe a heart/head full of it. People, deal with the crap. The broken stuff in your life. Don't wait till there is more time, or you have more energy, or hang on to something( cough:cough or someone) because its easier. You will just be left with a whole pile of "stuff" to deal with later. It doesn't sort itself out. It waits around for you to deal with it. And in the meantime collects dust, cobwebs, and lots of legged creatures that I'm not truly feeling 100% confident to face today. So today I'm cleaning up my crap. What comes easy won't last, and what lasts won't come easy. (Inky Johnson) . It is easy to eat foods that feel like comfort foods 🍪 🍔 and stuff thats high fat, big flavor. You will shed the weight quick with minimal change to your life and understanding the principles of healthy sustainable nutrition. But, then life will happen and you will eventually convince yourself that you are worthy of that piece of cake, or 🍕 or 🍞, or whatever #carb you previously believed was evil. And BAM! results...GONE. OR...🤗 You can tap into WHY🤔 you crave certain foods when you are feeling sad, mad, depressed😥, etc. Why whole food nutrition 🍳🍇🍑🍠🥑 will fuel your body and serve it better. Why you have this feeling about your body or believe that you should look a certain way. And then begin to understand that ALL sizes are to be celebrated🙌. ✔That skinny doesn't mean success. ✔That strong is beautiful and empowering. ✔That your body, the one that has taken you along this journey, is to be appreicated, not deprivated. . My clients and I are all walking together, learning that this lifestyle we took on is not something that will have an end date. It’s not about what you do▪️ it’s the WHY behind it to keep you going.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ My ‘why’ has greatly changed over the last year.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ From finding confidence BEFORE babes came into the mix... to making sure little man had a healthy home to grow in during my pregnancy...to now being a strong & healthy momma showing up for myself so that I can be there with a full cup for these two ♥️⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ A few things haven’t changed though:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🤸‍♀️ 30 minute workouts from my own home⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 🌮 Nutrition that fuels by body (with some wine sprinkled in of course🍷)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 👯‍♀️ An uplifting badass community of women helping me stay accountable to these ✌🏼things every week (no not every SINGLE day because life happens!)⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Good news is that there is ALWAYS room for you no matter what your why is!⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ (Or maybe you’re still trying to find it. Do you have habits that aren’t serving you? Habits you’re just dying to break? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Early in 2019, I was struggling to create a meditation habit. I felt an enormous difference in my day when I did as few as 7 minutes of meditation. I felt more alert, calm, collected and energized. I was dumbfounded that skipping the SEVEN MINUTE session was so easy. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Do you find yourself skipping self care like this? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It wasn’t until I learned about habit stacking from @james_clear that developing new routines started to come much easier. And I’m pleased to share meditation is a now part of my morning routine. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If working out is the habit you’re ready to shift, try this: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1️⃣Think of one habit you already do every morning (or afternoon, or night) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2️⃣Choose a short workout (like 100 reps of these Plank Knee Touches!) and plug it into your calendar immediately after the habit you’re already doing ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3️⃣Think of one small thing you could do to make accomplishing the habit easier (set out your mat, lay out your workout clothes, choose the workout) ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Hollahhhh! Yup!!!! My A#* just got handed to me! 🥵 Holy cow you guys! I seriously had no idea what the heck I was getting myself into when I started all of this, but let me tell you that it seriously has been totally and completely awesome! I have been challenged in more ways than one. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Doing the same thing over and over and over just wasn’t getting me anywhere! These last 2 1/2 years have been a total game changer and that is because of the community that I have gotten into. If you have goals, YOU MUST surround yourself with likeminded people. If you don’t, your journey will be extremely hard and extremely lonely. Embrace your community and lean into them. That is what we are here for!!! My 2019 candle is going strong today. I light it at the first of the month when I have a half day to let it burn. I go over my goals and pull a card. I’ve removed some goals because they were either ill timed or failed. A couple goals I focused on the most and am killing it, other I’m hoping to screech in by the years end. I love this time of the month to refocus and realign and make myself think honestly. It’s progress, not perfection and by the grace of god I’m still here. That time I met @joelfreemanfitness and told him that he was the reason I now have Jennifer Anniston arms. What I love most about TBB is that the trainers are super down to earth. And on top of that my company holds a yearly conference where you get to pal up with these guys for 4 days. This is where I got to meet @breannefreeman too! I got to tell every single trainer that I've done a program with that they changed my life. It's some seriously impactful moments friends. Don't lose out on the opportunity to try something new because a friend said "it didn't work for them" or you think it's "too MLM-y". These programs are legit.
