Demonstrations, videos, postural corrections, repetition. This is a clip from a video I made with my client, showing her some quick tips on form for her core workout tomorrow. With each move, we explain the key points, the muscles that are being engaged, and discuss how it should feel. It takes 2 minutes, but each rep done correctly is work a hundred done with poor form and is a sure fire way to see results. Fancy training with me? #SUNDAYFUNDAY _ The key to making progress in the gym as a beginner is to master the basics to offer a base level strength. _ When it comes to challenging your muscles or stimulating them further, it is essential to train them through different angles. _ Your muscles exist for one primary reason: to move your skeletal frame. By changing the angle in which your bones move alters the muscles/parts required to move your skeleton... this is where muscular damage occurs, the more muscle you can break down the more you can create. 🙏🏼 Sunday gratitude 🙏🏼 ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ To say it’s been a journey is an understatement! Blood, sweat, tears and a good proportion of my savings have gone into getting here over the past year!⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ From studying when Darcey was only 6 weeks old; working during naps and late into the night to get through it! And with a baby who doesn’t like to sleep and an older daughter starting school and needing me more than ever, it’s been full on! ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Courses, exams, portfolios... one by one I’ve passed them. From branding, and business plans, building questionnaires, forms, templates... And I’m still working on my website and marketing collateral! I want to do so much but realise I can’t conquer the world in one day! 😅 ⁣ ⁣ Oh and at the same time, I had my own postnatal journey. Countless hours spent regaining my own strength and fitness - I obvs had to fit that in too 🤣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ The pivotal moment was quitting my successful career of over 13 years to pursue my dream. Shit definitely got real that day! 😂⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ And even 2 months ago I wasn’t sure I could make it work. I didn’t know where I’d be doing my training, but knew I wanted a more private environment than a gym. Somewhere people want to come and feel comfortable when they’re out of their comfort zone! So, with help from my nearest and dearest, I’ve cleared, renovated and put together a studio gym at home that I am so proud of 🙌🏼 ⁣⁣ And the cherry on top? 🍒 This week I’ve got clients coming to train with me and I feel totally privileged. ⁣⁣ ⁣ I’m ready to go! To put over a decade’s training experience, all my learning and research to practice and help others see what I love about fitness. How it makes you feel and what it does for our confidence. ⁣⁣ ⁣ So here’s to Building Body Confidence! Literally.
