I don't think there is any real agrument against the fact that all humans, both you and I, that consume things of the modern world contribute to damaging our earths natural ecosystem. I don't think this comes as a shock to anyone but what always gets me is that when we decide to take actions to decrease the imprint that we will leave on our earth, someone inevitable responses with something to the effect of ”if you really care about the planet you’d ( fill in the blank)” Obviously, there is always more that we can do. We can always take our actions to the next level to decrease the negative impact that we have on the planet, all the way to living in mud huts, consuming only what we grow.....if over population wasn't a problem in and of itself. Where is Thanos? (tongue in cheek) but seriously, What does this mean? What should we do? I don't think there is a perfect answer but what I do know is that we should do something. Whatever that is is up to each of us and we should never belittle anyones efforts to decrease their imprint, no matter how small as long as we are trying.
In my own life I try but admit, I fall short. Among many things, I try to recycle, I try to not eat meat, I try to not use single use plastic when possible. I try to live a minimalistic life style, I try to always follow leave no trace ethics and I try to be responsible with how I share the photos I take and share. Of course there is more I can do and I'll keep on trying to educate myself on how I can do better while implementing what works best for me. Is that enough? Should we concern ourselves with policing others and telling them what we feel they should be doing? Educating in a kind way? yes. but telling? I think not.... Anyway I could go on but I feel I got the idea across. What's your thoughts?
