It is amazing how temporary things can sometimes come to define a city.
The Eiffel Tower in Paris was originally not meant to last beyond the World’s Fair. It was scheduled to be torn down and the metal used for scrap.
Likewise, this mural of Leonard Cohen on the side of a building in Montreal, was created in a relatively short period of time after his death. Since then, it has quickly become one of the defining features of the Montreal skyline.
This photo was taken this week on Mount Royal, the feature which gives the city of Montreal its name. ⠀⠀
