Nothing too special about this shot! Just a gorgeous view with sublime conditions! Exploring Yosemite covered in snow was simply a dream, almost too good to be true. I had to work for it too! I waited outside Yosemite National Park for over 24 hours not knowing when they would reopen after a storm dumped around three feet of snow. In the end I honestly didn’t even get that great of shots, but the experience was everything I could have hoped for and more. There was hardly anyone in the park and the new layer of snow helped muffle any sounds so when you were done trudging around in the snow, there was almost nothing to disturb the peace. I spent most of my time alone hiking on familiar trails which I had only seen during Spring before. I even attempted hiking to Vernal Falls which resulted in 3+ hours of struggling through knee deep snow just to run into a closed trail sign right before the falls! It’s kinda funny, after writing this I’m remembering how difficult and troublesome this trip was (I even missed the best sunset of the trip, but that’s another story), but when I look at my photos I’m happy I only remember how peaceful the park was and all the good times I had! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
