I’ve been feeling kind of burnt out on Instagram recently. It’s a drain thinking of what to post, how to post - putting this stupid, worthless pressure on it. But even though it’a a drain on creative inspiration, it’s still a huge source or stoke seeing my friends get after it in the outdoors. That’s exactly what got me into it in the first place, so the other night I set off as the sun was setting - not in search of a shot, but just getting back to the basics.
It felt so good. I did take my camera, but only pulled it out once and took seven shots total (most of them trying to get this selfie with my camera balanced on a rock) - and it was the most fun I’ve had out in a while. Not trying to complain, because it’s such a first-world problem that it’s not even really a problem, just an observation that I wanted to put out there.
So here’s that one selfie I liked and a few more phone pics.
