Permaculture is not just about land management but engaging people and habitats in an integrated harmonious design. With our facilitator Drei Castillo, who has been working with Cordillera farmers for several years, we repaired the garden after Typhoon Mangkhut passed through last month and organised a clearer system for roles and collaboration among our partner community members for the completion of a regenerative agriculture demonstration site we began last year at Balawag, Tabuk City, Kalinga. This follows after testing collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare and Development’s Pantawid program beneficiaries for several months. We are inspired that after a series of dialogue, we are now preparing to enter a more formal partnership with local community gardeners and farmers through an MOA with the government agency. We trust that this would create a sustainable collaboration to address food security, chemical dependent farming, and livelihood challenges the community faces. #ecovillagdevelopment #wholesystems #regeneration #permaculture 📷 by Gumay Tenda
