The foreword found in the Kicking Horse Pass guidebook written by @adamo1979 and @laurakos includes a little bit of everything and sets a good tone for the book as a whole. I started focusing on finishing this book around the time we started our first major avalanche cycle. The day these pictures were taken the avalanche danger went to Extreme. We found some short playful terrain below the Sherbrooke Lake summer trail (page 39 in the new book) before doing a lap in Lodge Trees area (page 21). I have often been able to use these areas during heightened danger ratings but one still needs to keep a lookout for reasons to retreat during such times. The snow is finally falling at valley bottom in Lake Louise, the stoke is high but remember we have a long season ahead. Stay safe and have fun out there! #confessionsofaskibum #backcountryskiing #backcountry #skiing #skitouring #earnyourturns #mountaincultureelevated #yoho #yohonp #yohonationalpark #alpineclubofcanada #canadianrockies #skilife #explorebanff #mybanff #explorebc #enjoycanada #skiuphill #goodtimesoutside #powderday #picoftheday #avalanchecanada #gofarfeelgood #guidebook #guidebooks #topo #topomap #map #print @gettothemountains Get your copy at: Rude Boys (Banff) @rudeboysshop Snowtips-Bactrax (Banff) @snowtipsbactrax The Tune Shop (Banff) Monod Sports (Banff) @monodsports Smartwool (Banff) @smartwoolbanff Alpine Club of Canada (Canmore) @alpinecubcan SkiUphill (Canmore) @skiuphill.ca Vertical Addiction (Canmore) @vertical_addiction_canmore Valhalla Pure (Canmore) @valhallapureoutfitters Cafe Books (Canmore) The Viewpoint (Lake Louise) Wilson Mountain Sports @wilsonsll Avalanche Safety Solutions (Golden) @avalanchesafety.ca Bacchus Books (Golden) @bacchus_books Ski West (Calgary) @skiwestyyc Splitboard HQ (Calgary) @splitboard.hq Banded Peak Brewing @bandedpeak_brewing Track N Trail (Edmonton) @trackntrail Backcountry Skiing Canada @bscpow

@honda ‘s Clarity gives you a choice of fuel source. You can pick between Hydrogen fuel cell, electric, or plugin hybrid (PHEV) which combines gas and electric. __ I'd go with the PHEV because it provides enough all electric range for my daily commute, while having the comfort of gasoline engine for longer road trips or if I don’t have the time to wait for the battery to recharge. The Clarity can drive up to 76 kms on electric power before needing to switch to the gasoline engine. __ The interior of the car is spacious, and comfortable with a sleek modern design. The designers were conscious to use environmentally responsible material because being green doesn't have to end with your fuel source. __ The exterior styling is polarizing and is one of it's downsides. If you can live with the look, then the Clarity is a brilliant mid size sedan. IMO this is the best plug-in hybrid car available in North America for 2019 and 2020. __ Swipe ⬅️ to see more photos. Let me know in the comments what you think! __ Shot on the @sonyalpha A7III __ HEARTS if you liked it SUBS if you loved it @eatwithmao __ Disclosure: We were loaned the #hondaclarity for a week to test drive. @hondacanada __ #media #explorecanada #explorebc #carphotography #car #vancouver #604 #roadtrip #foodtrip #mustbevancouver #roamvancouver #vancouverisawesome #beautifulbritishcolumbia #canada #explorecanada #narcityvancouver #veryvancouver #carlifestyle #dailyhivevan #604now #curiocityvancouver #honda #drivetastefully #phev #fuelefficient #zeroemmissions #BeAlpha #sonyalpha

I’m pretty stoked on life right now. I have a good routine, I work a lot and love it, and I spend a lot of time with my wife. I love what I do and I think it’s paying off. Regardless of what happens I’m blessed. Time for another trip @madisonjoyco ? @unforgettablegreece #unforgettableinstagrammer

📸 @tygroby Stars, fall colors, and brisk air. The only thing snapping me back to reality was the daylight fading away, otherwise I’d probably stay put trail dreaming.

god i love spooky foggy and EMPTY trails 🦇 this guy KILLED this hike today. I finally felt at a point (again) to do some long lead stuff and the amount of self “check ins” were unreal. it made me feel so connected to him and that he really cares about hiking WITH me. his recall was also spot on. when he was a bit slower about things I’d just keep him close for a bit and reevaluate and he seemed to get the picture. today was awesome and such a contrast as to how i felt only two days ago - having a dog is weird 😂 I love this mutt 🤓❤️

The views from the trail were often obscured by trees. During the first day on the Sunshine Coast Trail we were able to see the sun. It does have the nickname of “Wet Coast” we would find out quickly it lived up to its name. Thankful for the sun we did see. #epiccdn2019 #sunshinecoasttrail #explorebc

Our locations are stocked up with the perfect fall cookie by @todieforff 🙌🏻 The ultimate vegan cookie 🍪 Salted double chocolate, fudgy and moist — it’s almost brownie-like. Vegan marshmallows and chocolate chips with a pinch of salt for the ultimate flavor kick! Have you given these a taste yet? 😊🍫🍪

It’s been such a good time here on Vancouver Island. It’s been nothing but coffee, filming and adventure for the past 10 days an I couldn’t be more happy about it. Huge thanks to this guy @therichardkelly for hosting me and giving me the tour of the island. Can’t wait to be back soon 🌲. 📸 @benaltair

Ten years ago I hiked to this lake. We walked along the lakeshore and marvelled at the glacier calving into the water. Big chunks of dirty ice, splashing into turquoise. Last year I hiked up again. Immediately I could see that the glacier had receded. We walked to the end of the lake, then headed steeply uphill. It was farther away than it looked. When I got home, I measured it on a map. The glacier had receded about 300m in just a decade! It made me scared to know these big changes in our climate were happening so quickly. I felt small. What could I do about it? I’m just one person. But of course I’m not alone in being worried about the future of our earth. The climate strikes this week remind me of that. They make me feel hopeful that we can effect change. They make me angry that we are in this mess. They make me proud to see kids stand up and fight for what they believe in. They make me feel all the feelings. I hope you feel something too. It’s time we stopped being numb to this. My champagne birthday year comes to a close today—goodbye 27. 🥂 I can honestly say it’s been such a transformative year. From investing in my creativity, starting a podcast, getting my spin certification, all the travel, going back to brunette, and completing my third year fully self-employed, it’s been a wild ride. A lot of ups and a lot of downs, but I feel really lucky to live this life. 🎂 Here’s to another year around the sun (and the impending Libra new moon... get ready!) ✨
