Got a poverty press? This coming week we're going to run through a couple of our favourite movements to help build your press.
Start Z-pressing! Named after the great Zydrunas Savickas, this has been a staple in almost every program I've written since 2015.
Not only does it help develop your overhead strength without relying on leg drive, but it assists with core stability. I'd recommend performing this inside a rack with pins / blocks / etc either side to catch the bar if you need to dump it.
Make sure your bum and hammies are flat on the floor, core tight and your bar path remains vertical.
Use this as either a primary accessory or a session finisher (empty bar with Tabata timer works a treat).
